Larry Donnell Wilson Jr. (Winthrop College) Class of 2017
Larry Wilson was born on March 17, 1994 in Charleston, SC of the parents of Larry and Shelia Wilson. He graduated from James Island Charter High School on June 2012. He got accepted to several colleges and universities but decided Winthrop University was the overall pick. He attend the college for last five years working on his major of History and minor of Coaching. His main focus was achieving his goals is to become a high school History teacher and coaching the football team. He made the Dean’s List twice in his junior year. He also did student teaching at Northwestern High School in Rock Hill, SC for last four years. He was coaching with the football team as Defensive Coach for the defensive backs with 9th graders. In his junior year, he decided to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was enlisted in May 2015 and completed basic training in August 2015 at Parris Island in Beaufort, South Carolina. By December 2015, he informed he was accepted to the U.S Marine Corps Officers School in Quantico, Virginia. He went to officer school in May 2016 and graduated from the officer school on August 2016. On May 6, 2017, he will be official officer for U.S. Marine Corps and also receiving his Bachelor of Arts in History with minor in Coaching from Winthrop University.
He will continue to achieve all his goals of life and also serve his country. He will continues to be great leader, hard worker, and always keep the handsome smile on his face.
